Photographer's note: To Native Americans the Eagle and its feathers are highly revered and considered sacred. They are honored with great care and shown the deepest respect. Because the Eagle flies higher and sees better than any other bird they are considered to be the connection between humans and their Spiritual nature. Whenever I have the honor of viewing or photographing an Eagle I'm constantly struck with the deep intensity of their gaze which was captured in this photo.
