Located a short drive from Las Vegas, Red Rock Canyon is a stuningly beautiful area filled with dramatic hills and immense rock formations painted in brilliant colors of red and brown. While those formations are easy to photograph during the day, I wanted to create an image that conveyed the timeless nature of the area. This early evening photograph captured at 8pm shows the moon rising behind one of the many rock formations in the canyon.
