Comments:
Hubbell Trading Post National Historic Site in Arizona houses one of the first Trading Posts built in America during the 1800s. Now protected and managed by the National Park Service, it is still in operation and offers for sale rugs, baskets, jewelery and other crafts made by local Native American artisans.

ABOUT THIS WORK: This hand-made work of art is created using a 200 year old process known as photographic image transfer where a photograph is first printed onto specially treated material that delays the ink's drying. Then, the ink side of that material is placed against a sheet of handmade paper and careful pressure applied using finger tips and special rollers to transferred the ink onto the paper. Since the intensity of colors, sharpness of details and look of the edges vary with the pressure applied, each image transfer is a one-of-a-kind work of art. Because of this, the final print of the image you receive will vary somewhat from the example above.
