The Great Basin Bristlecone Pine, or "Pinus longaeva", is a long-living species of tree found in the higher mountains of the southwest United States. This ancient bristlecone pine, bent and twisted from centuries of forest fires and extreme temperature changes in Petrified Forest National Park, Arizona. To honor the long history of this tree and national park it was was photographed in black and white using an all-wood "Seneca" medium format film camera manufactured in 1907.
